Keepin' it Cool
Since 2017

Our Story
Our journey began with our beloved vintage ice cream truck, Maebel during the pandemic in 2020. When we started The Social Cow, we were on a mission to bring people together through shared experiences. What started as a mobile passion project quickly grew into something bigger-an opportunity to create a permanent space where our community could always find their favorite sweet treats.
Expanding from our ice cream truck roots to The Market at 7th Street has allowed us to reach even more people while staying true to what makes The Social Cow special - quality, creativity, and connection. Now, with a home base in one of Charlotte's most beloved gathering spots in Uptown, we serve hand-scooped ice cream, and fresh made waffle cones, bringing the same energy and joy that started it all.
Through every scoop, we celebrate our journey-from Maebel's first day on the road to growing our presence in Charlotte. For us, it’s never just about what’s in the cone, it’s about who you share it with. Because some things - like good ice cream and good company - never go out of style.
Our Ice Cream
Farm-Fresh Ice Cream, Straight from North Carolina
We strive to bring back the good old days when ice cream was made with care. That's why we do things the old-fashioned way: by hand, with heart, and with simple ingredients, straight from the dairy farm. Our ice cream is sourced from Homeland Creamery, a family-owned dairy farm in Julian, NC, operated by sixth- and seventh-generation farmers.
